Deutschle got his feet wet as a sophomore on the Cardinal varsity in 2025 while also developing his game working on the junior varsity. The campaign could, and likely will, lead to a larger role this coming fall. Look for him to build on his 3.5 tackles and a pair of receptions he posted last fall. The ability is there for big gains when we watch his 10th-grade highlight. It opens with him releasing into the flat from H-Back, catching a short pass and racing 45 yards for a touchdown. Deutschle also looks fluid and comfortable hauling in footballs from the slot. He runs crisp routes, is technically sound as a pass catcher and has a knack for finding the soft spots in the defense, where he can sit down and be available for his quarterback. A willing and able blocker already, Deutschle’s projectable frame has room to fill out and add strength to be even more effective in that discipline.
