Smith has been starting for Skyline since his Sophomore season campaign, and is one of the more active and athletic edge rushers across the state in this 2025 class. Smith is explosive off the ball with tremendous bend around the edge, and has a quick use of hands at the POA while able to win with both speed and power. He shows relentless pursuit to the ball backside, can strike and maintain his gaps in the run game and is a very technically sound defensive end. Although a bit undersized, if he can pack on another 15+ pounds, he should be able to find a home at the edge position at the D3+ level in college. Look for Smith to be near the top of the sack leaders across Idaho at the end of the ’24 season.

Smith has been one of the top edge defenders across the state since his freshman year and has no shortage of varsity playing experience heading into his final prep season. He is a very explosive and quick twitch player off the edge that is a relentless pass rusher and has a variety of moves at his disposal using both his speed and power very well.
He’s very active in the run game with a violent strike and quick block recognition and should be able to find a home at the next level at the D3+ level at the defensive end spot. Although a bit undersized, he does a tremendous job at using his leverage and lower body power to win at the POA and is a college caliber kid that should be one of the states best in 2024.
