Pace Jr. is an undersized defensive end at just 141 pounds, but he consistently makes up for it with outstanding quickness and explosiveness off the snap. His first-step burst allows him to beat blockers to the edge and penetrate into the backfield before plays have a chance to develop, making him a disruptive presence as a pass rusher. Pace’s speed and relentless motor make him difficult to contain on the perimeter, and he shows a natural ability to pressure the quarterback. As he continues to develop, improving his ability to pinch down and squeeze running lanes more consistently in the run game will make him an even more complete defender. Despite his size, Pace is an excellent pass rusher whose quickness and playmaking ability stand out on film.
