Justin Lomax is a hybrid safety who emerged as one of the leaders of Center Point’s defense this past season.

“Lomax is a complete safety who thrives off his instincts, skills in run support, and speed in the secondary. Lomax is quick to react, has great closing speed, and is a physical tackler who can fly from deep downfield to create tackles and other issues down near the line of scrimmage.

Two things that really stood out to me in Lomax’s tape were how much of a vocal leader to his teammates he was pre-snap and how much effort he puts in every down. You can see on numerous plays of his that he’s communicating and directing traffic amongst the secondary to help everyone get in position to create the upcoming stop, and he had several plays in pursuit that prevented huge gains or scores in the endzone.”

There’s a ton to like with Lomax’s game, and I think he’s just getting started. He really proved himself this past season and has another big year set up for himself this upcoming fall.
