Jones is a strong cover corner with ideal measurables at 6’2” 175 lbs. He has the ability to be effective both pressing receivers at the line or playing off flashing excellent natural coverage instincts and route anticipation. He runs well and is a physical defender using his hands to jam receivers at the LOS and create positional leverage downfield. Shows good eye discipline, he locks in on his man and matches movement to maintain positioning at all three levels. Great ability to squeeze to the sideline and cover the deep ball. His combination of length, leaping ability, and ball skills allows him to compete for the ball at the high point. Does a great job getting into the passing lane to play the ball at the catch point. Picked up his initial offer from Georgia in September then added Louisville shortly after but he’ll see more programs come in this spring.
