Stock Riser
Caledonia has a great history of standout defensive linemen, and 2024 6’2, 240 lber. Jordan Tornstrom is keeping the tradition alive. A beast in the weight room who posted a 315 lb. clean, 360 lb. bench, and 500 lb. squat, Tornstrom has been playing LB for Caledonia in 2023, and his play has earned him his first two collegiate offers this month. First Upper Iowa and followed by Winona State, he’s easily a scholarship player and has seen his stock rise through the midway point of his senior season. Can’t wait to see what’s next!

The latest installment of well-built and talented Caledonia defensive ends, 2024 6’2, 240 lber. Jordan Tornstrom reports a 325 lb. bench and 475 lb. squat to go along with his good size for the prep level. MSU-Mankato and Upper Iowa are definitely interested, but he’s still under-recruited as of right now. Able to beat blocks with power or quickness, Tornstrom stuffs ball carriers in their tracks once he gets ahold of them and tackles well in space for a DE of his size. Also has a bit of a nasty streak in him that I love to see. 2023 is his for the taking. You can bet your butt he’s working hard in the weight room this offseason and most likely, as I write this. Keep it up, Jordan!

The prospects just keep coming from Caledonia, and I cannot be more thrilled about it. Jordan showed off the significant balance in Indy drills and did a great job keeping a tight angle with his base around the circles to shield into the ball carrier with solid contact from the reps I watched. Jordan has limited tape at the moment, but from what I was able to grasp this young man has some nasty physicality and opens his hips effectively to line up a punctured punch into the defensive linemen with his 6’2 size. He also shows off the solid potential looking at the future with his kickoffs by fooling the cameraman on his onside kicks, which shows the awareness trait I will look at when we evaluate him in the future.
