A thick, naturally strong interior defensive lineman with an impressive first step, Amofah Jr. plays bigger than his 6-foot-1 270-pound frame and does a good job of using his hands and impressive quickness to make plays on the backfield. One of the more underrated defensive linemen in Atlanta, this playmaking defender was an easy addition to the next rankings after a strong junior season where he made 25 tackles, nine TFLs and three sacks. He showed a lot of promise and should have an even more impactful senior season for the Astros in 2026.

John Amofah is a broad, stout defensive line prospect who created penetration and havoc all afternoon against LaGrange. He dominated his matchup early on with his combination of explosiveness and mass. He also anchored down well and was difficult to move off the ball. He is an efficient bull rusher, frequently driving blockers onto their heels and denting the pocket, creating pressure in the face of the QB and flushing him out. Amofah is still young, so his physical presence will only continue to grow over the next few years.
