Ortiz was another very undersized young prospect but threw a ball that suggested ability to play much bigger than his measurables. Throughout the indy drills, Ortiz delivered the football with solid base mechanics. Once the event progressed into one on one periods, Ortiz caught the attention of the coaches running drills for his ability to deliver a very catchable football, giving receivers a leg up to make a catch in tight coverage or jump ball situations, placing the ball with touch and accuracy on rhythm throws. Ortiz has a nice technical foundation for his age, and is one to watch grow.

Ortiz is a Class of 2030 quarterback who had a fantastic season for the Addison Cowboys this year. He is a highly accurate passer, as Ortiz throws a nice deep ball that he can drop right into his receivers hands. He also has great anticipation, as he often throws receivers open. We are excited to see Ortiz showcase his skills at the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase on Saturday.
