Jaylen stood out not just for his physical tools, but for his maturity and discipline. He has good size, strong footwork, and showed really sharp cuts up the field with noticeable explosiveness. He runs with intent and understands how to plant and get vertical quickly, which translated well throughout drills.
What truly separated him was his mindset. After making a mistake in a drill, he immediately dropped and did push-ups — something no other back did. That accountability and self-discipline speaks volumes about his character and leadership. He was arguably the most mature player evaluated, and when you combine that with his cutting ability and explosiveness, you get a running back coaches will trust early in his development.
