Jayden has that playmaking mentality you love to see from a defensive back. He’s not content with simply being in the right spot; he wants to be the guy who makes something happen when the defense needs a stop. Whether it’s getting involved in coverage, attacking a ball carrier, or finding an opportunity to disrupt a play, Jayden brings an active approach to the secondary. One thing I appreciate about his game is his willingness to get involved instead of waiting for the action to come his way.

Versatility was on full display with Jayden Ford, who was active all over the field for the McKinney Lions in their matchup against Rock Hill. A physical outside linebacker/safety hybrid, Ford brings a combination of solid tackling ability, athleticism, and impressive closing speed that allows him to make plays in multiple areas of the defense. His ability to operate in space gives him the flexibility to cover receivers and match up against offensive playmakers, while his physicality and instincts make him an effective presence in the run game. Ford’s blend of speed, versatility, and physical tools makes him a defensive weapon capable of impacting the game in a variety of roles.

Jayden plays good coverage while covering. He is very patient in his drops and react when he as too. What stand out the most is how he’s able to avoid WRs from blocking him during runs plays. He also comes downhill to get involve in tackling. Jayden has what it take to to make it happen on the defensive side of the ball.
