Very good processing and run/pass read at the snap. Very good versus the inside run at the point of attack, coming downhill quickly with his very good acceleration, foot quickness, and explosiveness. Very good block shed, uses his bend to slip past blockers, and displays good use of hands to engage offensive linemen with very good strength, explosiveness, and positioning to gain leverage and release from the block. Good range versus the outside run due to his very good reads and good lateral agility to meet the ball carrier on the edge. Very good tackler, wrapping up and driving through the ball carrier with very good explosiveness and strength. He is dependable in Pass Coverage, showing good zone processing, and will make sure receivers know when they enter his zone, laying a big hit on them to break up the pass. He is a leader in the middle of Powhatan’s defense and will become a great addition to whatever school picks him up at the next level.
