The Pitt pledge threw for nearly 4k yards last season and has tremendous upside. He joins an uber-talented Miami Central program, which, if it goes undefeated, will have a chance to vault Perrone as the best player in the state by season’s end.

He throws accurately with his feet set or off of his back foot and is also dangerous with his legs. Perrone gets the ball out of his hands quickly, and he dissects weaknesses in defenses.

Perrone had quite the offseason, transferring from Miami Southridge to Miami Central to Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas and then back to Miami Central. Landing with the Rockets gives the USF commit a great opportunity to continue to showcase his skills with a program that has won nine state titles.

Perrone is a natural thrower of the football and connects with his receivers with or without having his feet set. He is an underrated runner who can move the chains with his legs if needed.

The Pitt commit has great pocket presence and can fire it to his targets from different arm angles. He’s an experienced leader who can lead Central to another state title to add to its storied history.

After a stellar year at Miami Southridge, Perrone competed in the spring at both St. Thomas Aquinas and Miami Central, ultimately staying in Dade County to play for the Rockets in his senior season. Perrone fell short of beating his current team in a controversial 34-28 regular-season matchup, but believes he can excel in his last high school year with a new team.

The East Carolina commit shows tremendous poise to stay in the pocket and make throws under duress, and can also break free from the pocket to gain yards on the ground. Perrone has above-average feet to shift around in the pocket to avoid pressure and displays high-level arm strength in the pocket or on the run. He also does well to buy time in the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield.
