Carlson measures in at 5’7 155-pounds playing RB/MLB for Front Range Christian. He had 11 carries for 138 yards with 3 touchdowns, 2 total tackles, and 1 INT returned for a touchdown. Carlson has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, good balance, change of direction, and speed. He has an explosive start. Good vision to find the open gap and rush through it. His OL was creating holes all night long. He has very good outside running. Can bounce outside and gash the defense with his speed and acceleration. Carlson gained some extra yards and even a touchdown by extending his arms out across the goal line, or ramming his shoulder into defenders. As a LB, he ripped the ball out of the air and returned it for the pick 6. Intriguing player to keep an eye on as the years progress.
