Woodward-Granger spread the ball around in the passing game during the 2025 season. Five different guys racked up double figures in catches. That included 10 receptions for 149 yards and a touchdown from the freshman wideout Sands, who also added a two-point conversion. He contributed a couple of tackles, including a solo stop. It was an important first step along the development trail for prospect packed with potential. We witness that upside when viewing his ninth-grade highlight video. It opens with a clip of him running a sideline go route, where he gets behind the opponent before coming back to win a contested ball over the defensive back. The second play, once again, has him winning a 50-50 ball with his height, long arms and leaping ability. Sands also flashes the elusiveness and burst to make guys miss in space. It’s already a pretty well-rounded set of skills with three seasons of high school remaining to realize the potential. His frame is projectable and should fill out without the loss of the athleticism that helps make him a matchup problem.
