Dunning is a very versatile prospect playing QB, CB, and punter for Lamar and is tied for 3rd amongst 2027 DBs for interceptions. Measures in at 6’4 160-pounds. 167/251 for 2513 yards, 66.5% completion rate, 24 TDs, 8 INT, 38 total tackles (all solo), 1 TFL, 6 INT, 7 PD, 17 punts for 652 yards getting it 4 times inside the 20. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, change of direction, jumping, and good speed. He’s a poised and confident QB who makes quick decisions on the fly. He’s very accurate and has a good arm. Defensively, he has a good back pedal. Fluid hips to match WR breaking into their route. Very good man and good zone. Very good closing quickness and good timing on PBUs. Very good ball tracking and catching. He’ll catch it in front of the WR and get good return yardage. Dunning is an aggressive tackler as well. Good punter too. I love how he impacts the game in all 3 phases, and colleges should take a look at his play.

Dunning is an interesting combination playing QB and DB. Measuring in at 6’4 160-pounds, the junior has thrown 156/230 for 2353, 67.8% completion, 23 TDs, 5 INT, 3 rushing TDs, 27 total tackles, 6 INT, and 7 PD. Good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, change of direction, good speed, and jumping. Dunning has good throw power and good release. He goes through his progressions and finds the open man. Very good touch and ball placement skills. Make it easy for this wide receiver to catch the ball. Good pump fake to stall the defense for a couple of seconds. Good deep ball with a high arch. As a DB, he’s good at jamming the WR at the LOS. He has very good ball tracking and catching. He’s a ball hawk. Very good timing at creating pass break ups. Good closing quickness as well. Dunning has continued to boost his stock, and his versatility will intrigue colleges.

Dunning has proven himself as a steady and reliable quarterback who delivers when his team needs him. Completing 65% of his passes, he has thrown for 896 yards, 9 touchdowns, and only 2 interceptions. His pocket presence stands out, as he is able to stay calm under pressure and make precise throws across all levels of the field. Dunning anticipates routes well, consistently putting the ball where his receivers can make plays. Known for his dependability, he has become the type of quarterback coaches can build an offense around. With his accuracy, composure and ability to consistently move the chains, Dunning is quickly becoming one of the most respected signal callers in the 2A ranks.

Dunning may have built his name on offense, but this season he is proving to be just as dangerous on the defensive side of the ball. With 10 total tackles and 3 interceptions, Dunning is making his presence felt in the secondary. His size and speed give him the tools to match up with different receivers while also providing physicality in run support. As a player already ranked among the top 50 in his class, his growing impact on defense only boosts his overall stock. Dunning is emerging as a true two-way threat who will grab scouts’ attention.

Dunning delivered a highly efficient season, proving he can make every throw on the field. He had an eye catching 2,595 passing yards with 31 touchdowns, completing over 60% of his passes while limiting turnovers to just 11 interceptions. A true pocket passer, Dunning thrives in the intermediate passing game and can operate the quick game with ease, keeping the offense in rhythm. His ability to read defenses and methodically move the chains makes him a compelling prospect. As he continues to develop, he will be a player to watch closely.

Dunning measures in at 6’4 160-pounds, playing QB and punter for Lamar. As a QB, he went 185/300 for 2595 yards, and 61.7% completion rate with 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. As a punter, he had 29 punts for 1095 yards (2nd) with it going inside the 20 twice. His longest punt was 77 yards(1st). Averaged 37.8 yards per punt. Now Dunning is a stellar QB, however I will be talking about his punting abilities. He has very good leg strength needed to bomb the ball downfield. He launches it up in the air, giving it good hang time for his gunners. Dunning gets the ball high. He has good kick accuracy and good kick placement. He is good under pressure situations as well. As a QB, he stays cool calm and collected and he brings that same energy to punting. Watch out for Dunning!
