Blackwell has been one of the fastest rising recruits in the 2025 class since the start of 2024. He had a phenomenal offseason, winning the defensive line MVP at the Under Armour Camp in Dallas and he attended multiple college camps, coming away with college offers. He is one the top defensive line prospects in the 2025 class. Blackwell plays with a high motor, he has excellent short area quickness and he closes on the ball carrier with good speed. Blackwell plays with excellent pad level and his ability to push the pocket allows him to be disruptive. Blackwell committed to Baylor this offseason.
