Next is a valuable two-way lineman. Martines, can play on both sides of the field, but mainly take valuable reps as a lineman. Martines is committed Princeton in the fall.
He plays with excellent pad level, you see it in his pass pro, but also when he is executing reach blocks. He does a great job of keeping his hands inside on the chest plate and overall is one of the more fundamentally sound blockers in the class. The Ivy League is getting another star lineman.
Congratulations Jack!

Martines is a long and lean OT prospect. He also fits the mold of an athletic edge rusher, but I like him at OT because of the pass-pro reps he puts on tape. I think you can see the basketball background on his tape—he has great foot speed and does an incredible job of staying square to guys. He can be an effective blocker in space or at the second level against smaller, quicker defenders.
Martines plays with excellent pad level, you see it in his pass pro, but also when he is executing reach blocks. He does a great job of keeping his hands inside on the chest plate and overall is one of the more fundamentally sound blockers in the class – he does need to get bigger, but with that, add some strength to his punch for the next level. If you are looking for a Tackle to play in a zone scheme at the next level, I really like the athleticism Martines offers and considering that parameter would likely be the top tackle I would look into.

The ideal long, lean tackle prospect that so many coaches are looking for is Martines, who is also a basketball player and has some of the best OT tapes in New York. He also has good quality endzone film, which is always a huge positive for OL evaluation – Martines moves guys more than most of the top OLs from the island. He also shows some quality pass set reps that some other OLs lack.
Athletically, he moves his feet extremely well; he stays square to guys trying to speed-rush him off the edge – fundamentally, he will have to make some adjustments to his pass set at the next level, but there are some quality reps on tape.
Martines best ability is that of moving guys, he plays with leverage, looks like he has good play strength, and blocks with a strong work rate not always finishing guys to the ground which is fine but sustaining and finishing blocks.

Martines is the type of OL prospect that often gets recruited early in their career and is long lean frame, he has the ability to add 30+ pounds by the time he graduates high school, putting him close to 300 while maintaining the athleticism you see on tape is one of the more sought after lineman types in D1 recruiting.
