Expert Analysis
Sam Erman | Prep Redzone Scout
Hollendonner came out and backed up his status as the current #1 overall recruit in the 2028 class. They understand his strengths and do a good job putting him in position to succeed. He threw for 246 yards and 6 touchdowns with just a single incompletion. It’s only the start of the season, but he looked efficient and in control the whole way. After what he showed as a freshman, this opener felt like he picked up right where he left off.

Hollendonner had the type of season that put everyone on notice that this dude can flat out play. To be as productive and mistake-free as he was, it was impressive to say the very least. In year 1, leading the Centerville offense, he put up 1700 passing yards and 21 TDs on 66% completion while only having 3 interceptions. He then added 689 yards and 5 TDs on the ground. Hollendonner is a talented, incredibly efficient, and smart football player who has the future wide open ahead of him

The freshman season this young man just had was more than impressive. He came in right away and had full command of the offense. That was his team, he was in charge on the field, and as the season went on the others turned to him. 66% completion on 173 attempts for over 1700 yards and 23 TDs to 3 INTs is about as good as it gets. I know Centerville isn’t going against the state’s top teams, but to have the level of command and confidence Hollendonner does so early speaks volumes to me.

It’s hard to see what Hollendonner is doing on the field immediately and not be excited about his potential. He’s a dynamic athlete who is simply best with the ball in his hands. While he’s not the most refined QB you’ll come across, he’s accurate and gets the job done. He’s efficient and is completing 69% of his passes to start his career. He’s then a good runner and does a fantastic job in the 2nd level letting his blocks develop. Early in the season, he put up a 12/17 for 185 yards and 3 TDs with 91 yards and a TD on the ground, which was a sign of more things to come.
