About Jabez
Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Tuaoa is violent defender with a strong compact frame at 6’1” 230 lbs. He shows plus reactionary quickness and lateral agility to redirect and make plays sideline to sideline. An aggressive run stopper that plays with leverage and is powerful at the POA finishing and exploding through contact. Natural strength in both his hands and lower half allow him to take on and defeat blockers with hard initial contact and leverage, has the ability to stack and knock back lead blockers. He’s a high effort player that is relentless in pursuit and plays until the whistle. Makes a ton of plays at or behind the LOS. Positional versatility is plus with his ability to play off the ball or as an edge rusher. Committed to Air Force in June over an offer from Minot State.

Here’s a player that I know is going to have a huge season. Jabez hits the holes hard and reads the ball carrier extremely well. Tuaoa is as quick as anyone in his class, being able to burst through the offensive line with ease. He is going to put his improvements on full display when the season starts and have big performances weekly.

Tuaoa is a versatile LB who lines up as an inside or outside backer. He moves well both forward and laterally and can be a pass-rush force coming through the inside or around the outside. He has a wide stance with good shin angles allowing him to react quickly to run reads, where he has a penchant for meeting the ballcarrier at the line. He’s incredibly patient and can keep his feet moving in one spot, but rarely lets a runner cross his face either; he’ll explode and run with them, sideline to sideline if he has to. He has a big and stocky build without sacrificing speed and highlighting his explosive power. Tuaoa recently picked up his first D1 offer from Air Force and looks ready to do big things as a senior after padded offseason work. He should pick up several more big offers as he leads Curtis this year.

Here’s another player I’ve mentioned before in this series but continues to play well and earned another mention. He’s already a top 35 player in his class (2024) and I personally think he could be ranked even higher. He hits the holes hard and reads the ball carrier extremely well. Tuaoa is as quick as anyone in his class, being able to burst through the offensive line with ease.

Jabez is a top ranked linebacker in the class according to PrepRedzoneWA already. His play on the field has backed up that statement. The 6’2″ sophomore against Kennedy Catholic HS was outstanding. Often lining up at the middle linebacker position, he leads by example for his teammates as good as anyone in the state. His pursuit for the ball is relentless every play and he won’t stop until the ball carrier is down. He’s one of my favorite defensive players to watch so far this season. I can’t wait to watch his journey throughout his year and his senior year next year.
