A speedy North Georgia running back flying under the radar in Jasper, Wyngaard does a great job of reading the field, getting out to the perimeter, and up the field for a big gain. The quick, elusive 5-foot-9 170-pounder is a natural with the ball in his hands who runs hard and has the ability to score on any particular carry. The Pickens ball-carrier was one of the more productive backs in the area and one of the top returning backs in the region. He dominated as a junior last season, rushing for 1,000 yards on just 113 carries for an average of 8.9 yards per attempt. He plays fast and knows how to score, rushing for 11 touchdowns and hitting the 100-yard four times. Wyngaard should be added to the next rankings update with the potential to see some college interest come his way this summer.
Wyngaard is a gem out of small town GA. His breakout junior season was the catalyst for a winning season and playoff birth for Pickens in 2026. Wyngaard is a slick, skat-back who is hard to catch in space. He can break away from his level of competition with his speed, but he is slick between the tackles and can weave in space. He is an explosive play waiting to happen, and there are plenty of small schools recruiting the region that need to play close attention here.
Surprise, surprise. Another North Georgia running back is flying under the radar after a strong junior season. Wyngaard, an impressive back with plenty of speed out of Pickens High in Jasper, is coming off a productive 2025 season where he ran for 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was a threat to score anytime he had the ball in space with enough speed to out-run defenders down the field. He’s quick, shows impressive burst, and even with his 5-foot-9 175-pound frame, this sleeper back knows how to slip his way through defenders. He’s a small-town back bound for a big senior season next fall.
A smaller back who can really, really run, Wyngaard knows how to change directions, make defenders miss, and out-run defenders down the field. He shows good vision, agility, and while he may not blow anyone away physically, he knows how to play the position and get the absolute most out of every carry. The small-town back in Jasper ran for exactly 1,000 yards on the season with 11 touchdowns on the ground. He averaged an outstanding 8.9 yards per carry and will be an easy addition to the 2027 Prep Redzone rankings. Look for him to have a dominant senior season in 2026.
