Scott Burgess | Prep Redzone Scout
Willis is an Illinois State commit that will really excel at the FCS level. He is slick with the ball after the catch. Shifty with it in his hands. Best on short routes as a possession guy. Quick getting in and out of his cuts.

Willis is an electrifying wide receiver out of St. Francis. He posted a monster junior campaign, totaling 1,000 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. The 5’10, 170 lbs slot is a smooth route runner with incredible speed who is equally as dangerous before catching the ball as he is with it in his hands. Willis can race off the line, selling vertical routes while stemming out to the rest of the route tree. And once he secures the catch, good luck tackling him in the open field. Willis can break a defender’s ankles at a moments notice, as his swift jukes and ability to cut in the open field are jaw-dropping. Perhaps one of the more underrated slots in the Land of Lincoln, Willis is a prospect that college’s don’t want to miss out on.

The junior wide receiver has been the go-to target for Milivojevic throughout the season. Willis has the ability to find the soft spots in zone coverage and run himself open once he spots the gap. The 5’10 athlete proves to have soft hands, elite route running, and is most lethal after the catch. He has great speed that allows him to separate at the top of routes and can make a move as soon as he secures the ball. This allows him to gain chunk yardage. Willis is a matchup nightmare that Nazareth will need to keep an eye on for 4 quarters.

The 5’9, 170 lbs pass catcher from St. Francis High in Wheaton is incredibly polished for a class of 2025 receiver. Last season on varsity, Willis dominated in a variety of ways from the slot. His polished route running and ability to make contested catches are next level. Willis is extremely shifty and stacks defensive backs with ease. He can adjust his body well with the ball in the air to make some highlight reel catches. Willis is also dangerous after the catch, as his quickness in the open field makes him tough to tackle. Willis rare combination of elusiveness and soft hands ensures this soon-to-be junior will rise up recruiting boards.
