About Hunter

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in the National Honor Society (NHS). I have received the Science, English, and Video Production awards during my sophomore year at Breese Mater Dei Catholic High School.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership skills from my dad being in the Marine Corps for 30 years. Also, playing football since the age of 6 years old and joining track in Jr. High, I've learned how to work with others as a team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I ended up breaking my collarbone during my freshman year of high school during a JV football game. We were winning going into the final minutes of the game, trying to run out the clock, and landed on my shoulder wrong causing me to break my collarbone and end my season. It was a major setback for an even greater comeback.

Hochbaum threw for 2,165 yards and 23 touchdowns along with rushing for 355 yards and 9 more TDs on the varsity level this past year. The 6’1″ quarterback has nice touch pushing it vertical giving his receivers room to run under it and has good ball placement. Steps up when pressure comes around him making good throws.  Quick release and sells play action fakes.
