There’s something to like about the way he delivers the football, especially the smoothness of his throwing motion and how the ball comes off his hand. Through this point in the season, he’s completed 30 of 59 passes for 540 yards and five touchdowns while adding two more scores on the ground. His ball delivery is one of the things that catches my attention, as he shows the ability to get the football out with a nice release and put it in a spot where his receivers can make a play. He has some good tools to work with as a passer, particularly when it comes to throwing with touch and getting enough pace behind the ball. While his 51% completion rate leaves room for improvement, there’s potential in his game as he continues to work on his accuracy and consistency. He’s a young quarterback who has some encouraging qualities worth keeping an eye on as he develops.

Holt is a dual-threat quarterback who can impact the game in multiple ways, but what really adds another level to his game is his ability to push the ball downfield and create explosive plays through the air.

When he takes shots deep, Holt shows confidence in his arm and timing. He’s not afraid to challenge defenses vertically, and he can stretch the field when coverage breaks down or when he identifies a one-on-one matchup outside. Those deep throws aren’t just hopeful shots — he shows the ability to get enough velocity and distance on the ball to attack safeties and open up the offense.

What stands out is how those deep shots change the way defenses have to play him. Once he shows he can hit vertically, it forces secondaries to back up, which opens up space underneath and in the intermediate game. That ability to punish defenses deep helps create more favorable looks for the entire offense.

Holt looked sharp today under center, showing poise, accuracy, and the ability to make plays when it mattered most. He consistently found his targets, moved the offense efficiently, and made smart decisions in the pocket, proving he can lead and make an impact in key moments. His performance today highlighted his talent as a quarterback and his ability to elevate his team.
