One look at Halston’s film and there is a ton to like. Halston is a perfect blend of size and twitch for such a young player. As a freshman Halston shows excellent gap control and make’s a living in the offensive back field as a defensive tackle. I was very impressed with the motor that Halston plays with and the amount of plays that Halston makes from his defensive tackle position. As Halston continues to find tune his craft he will be come almost impossible to block. Keep an eye on this Napoleon big man and keep an eye on this team in the fall.

Halston is a big body with broad shoulders and a strong lower half, which allows the Napoleon native to completely control the inside and shut it right down. He stays low and fights through blocks well. He sees plays coming his way and is able to shed blocks and make the plays that come to him. It’s a defenses best friend to have a guy that can line up over the ball and completely shut down the run game between the guards, and that is Halston’s specialty!
