Jones can create impact plays in all three phases of the game. He can create explosive plays on offense and special teams with the ball in his hands, using his speed to beat DBs in coverage for touchdown receptions and splitting coverage units for punt and kick return touchdowns. However, his effectiveness in locking down receivers in coverage and creating turnovers in the secondary is what stands out. His quick feet and fluid hips allow him to excel in both zone and man coverage. He explodes out of breaks, which helps him jump underneath routes. When covering deep routes, he displayed excellent concentration and ball skills, making impressive contested interceptions by high-pointing the football.
