Borte completed 11 of 14 passes for 138 yards, threw three touchdowns, and carried the ball seven times for 47 yards in a 49-19 win over Life Christian Academy. You know you’re having a great night when you manage to fit in a jump pass for a touchdown. I was impressed by his first touchdown pass in the highlight reel, which went about 33 yards. It looks like he recognizes a blitz is coming from his left side pre-snap. It looks like he yells something to the receivers before the snap, calls for the snap, rolls to his right (away from the rusher trying to track him down), and hits a receiver streaking down the right side in stride for the score. Great adjustment.
During five games, he’s thrown for 715 yards, 12 touchdowns, and five interceptions.
