A two-way player for Franklin, Young makes his way into the rankings after a strong freshman campaign. He plays fullback on offense and had some decent runs, but there’s no doubt that his future is at linebacker. He racked up over 60 tackles last season and has a great motor. If he adds a bit more weight, he’s definitely a guy to watch.

A two-way player for Franklin on varsity as a freshman, Young was most productive as a talented middle linebacker. He has great size and is a sure tackler, giving him a leg up on the defensive side of the ball. He’s also a talented running back and we expect him to continue playing there as well. But make no mistake, he has great potential as a linebacker. He’s also a standout wrestler, finished seventh in the state as a freshman.

Young leads the class of 2028 in tackles so far this season as he’s helped lead Franklin to a 2-0 start. He’s racked up 17 solo tackles including two for loss and he’s picked off a pass as well. We’re excited to see more of him in the future.
