Haws is just a tackling machine flat out. He makes plays all over the field with great leverage he is able to take on blockers and shed them quickly. He is hard to move on down blocks and really has a good feel for where to drop in coverage.

Haws has been a staple in the middle for Owyhee where the senior is the unquestioned leader of the defense. He is able to shed blockers with ease and reads blocking schemes quickly. He is a one-man wrecking crew where he makes a ton of tackles for Owyhee.

Haws is a high motor kid that is coming off a nice Junior season for Owyhee, and can play both inside and outside linebacker at the high school level. He is a downhill filler that is strong at the POA, and can weave around blockers to knife into the backfield and make plays behind the line. He has a strong build and powerful lower body and is a true tackle to tackle mike backer that is tough to run but also does have some open field speed to make plays sideline to sideline when needed. Look for Haws to build on his Junior campaign and be one of the top defenders for Owyhee in the Fall.

Haws is a plug in the middle of the Owyhee defense, and is a throwback thumper that quickly fills gaps and plays downhill while getting off bigger blockers with hand violence and a low hat when playing tackle to tackle. Haws shows that he can blitz from various angles, and provides a nice pass rush with closing speed and a relentless motor backside when chasing ball carriers. He checks into our rankings as a top 75 player in Idaho, and just inside the top 15 at the position in his class.
