Hoffman is a big 6’6” 240 lb. force that can be effective lining up as an inline TE, split end, or H Back. He’s a tough matchup for any defender both in the run game as a blocker or as a receiver due to his size, length, and ability to create positional leverage. He’s physical at the POA and finishes with good balance through contact to sustain his blocks . In the passing game, he’s a big target with a large catch radius that extends beyond his framework. He does a great job using his size to his advantage by creating a throwing lane and boxing out defenders at the catch point. He works the middle of the field well finding soft spots in coverage, especially at the short and intermediate levels. Racked up 12 D1 offers prior to signing with Eastern Michigan.

There’s not much else you can say about Gabe’s physical appearance, as he just looks the part of an collegiate football player. Gabe standouts to me almost every time he is on the field, providing a target on offense that is as reliable as it gets in the state of WA. Week 1 for Hoffman was no different, he hauled in many catches. Most of those catches going for 10 plus yards. He’s extremely hard to bring down, as it may take 2 or 3 defenders to get the job done. Gabe had a solid game on defense as well, being in the QB’s face often all night long. He also blocked a punt on special teams. Gabe will be targeted often, so this might not be the only time he is featured.
