About Evan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m an explosive dual-threat quarterback who plays with confidence, competes every snap, and never gives up. I can make plays with both my arm and my legs, extend plays under pressure, and bring high energy and leadership to my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a relentless, team-first mentality and always give my best effort. I never give up, no matter the situation, and I’m constantly working to improve. I’m coachable, disciplined, competitive, and always looking for ways to grow as both a player and a person. My goal is to be the best version of myself on and off the field every day.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received the Coaches Award for my leadership, work ethic, and positive attitude. Outside of football, I also compete in basketball and 7-on-7 with Why Not Me Academy, which has helped me develop teamwork, discipline, and leadership both on and off the field.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through football, basketball, and 7-on-7, I’ve developed strong leadership, teamwork, and discipline. I’ve learned that being a leader means setting a good example, working hard every day, and helping those around me improve. I always strive to be my best, encourage my teammates, and lead with my actions both on and off the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced a lot of challenges throughout my football journey. I didn’t start during my 7th-grade season, and in 8th grade I suffered an injury that kept me from playing. There have also been times when I’ve felt overlooked or doubted by others. Those experiences motivated me instead of discouraging me. They taught me to stay resilient, work harder than everyone else, and keep believing in myself.

What type of college are you looking for?

My dream school is Ole Miss, but I’m open to any college that gives me the opportunity to play football and earn a great education. I’m looking for a program with a strong football culture, excellent academics, and an atmosphere that feels like home. I want to be part of a team that pushes me to grow as both a player and a person while preparing me for success on and off the field.
