Evan is just a steady force in the 2nd level of the Marvin Ridge defense. Game in and game out, you know you are going to get an absolute tackling machine that is going to stop plays before they turn into touchdowns. This past season, Evan had an outstanding 141 total tackles, and he showed an impressive ability to get to the football using intelligent pursuit angles and knowing how to scrape and shed blocks well. Evan shows impressive speed in getting to the football from his middle linebacker position, and he’s not afraid to arrive with some strong physical contact. It was fun to watch the effort and passion come through his highlight film for sure.

Culicerto is a stout, physical tackling machine who set the tone for Marvin Ridge’s defense all season. He finished with over 140 total tackles, consistently living around the football and showing elite reliability snap after snap. His best outing—19 tackles in a single game—perfectly captures his motor, instincts, and toughness. Culicerto plays downhill, takes on blocks, and finishes with authority, making him a dependable presence in the box. His production reflects durability, discipline, and a high football IQ, and he projects as a defensive cornerstone whose impact goes far beyond the stat sheet.

Culicerto lives around the football and in the backfield. He’s put on some weight, which should only help him continue to blow up plays in the backfield, something he did often last year, with 26 tackles for loss. He’s at his best when the lights are brightest, with one of the great individual performances of the year in a close playoff loss to Northern Guilford, with three takeaways and three tackles for loss.

Culicerto was a big-play machine for Marvin Ridge in 2024 and he played his best when the lights were brightest. He capped his season with a three-takeaway performance in the playoffs against Northern Guilford in the playoffs. Six sacks and 24 tackles for loss speak to his versatility.

Culicerto is off to a great start in his sophomore year, especially as a blitzer in passing situations. He’ll move all over the formation and he’s really excelling at using his quickness to make offenses uncomfortable. He has four sacks to start the year and played extremely well in a comeback victory over Ardrey Kell in Week 3.
