Atherton was a stout force at tackle for Longmont. The 6’4 250-pound tackle was key in protecting his QB and creating lanes in the run game. Uses his powerful legs and good balance to win reps. Atherton has very good quickness out of his stance, engaging with the defensive line first. Atherton uses his very good strength to over power defensive ends or edge rushers. Very good hand strength and good hand placement to control and steer his opponent. He locks out the defender. Very good foot quickness and uses this to mirror the DL. Ethan has the athletic ability to go out in space and control defenders on the move. Very good anchor and knee bend. I’m very excited to see him play in his senior season.
