Elijah Shoe
About Elijah
Expert Analysis

The big & strong Elon commit had a great game in leading the Robinson offensive line from his left tackle position. Elijah did a great job in pass protection, but he really showed well in his run blocking – on one touchdown run in particular, Elijah had two pancakes and met his running back in the end zone. Really impressive stuff. I spoke with Elijah after the game.

Shoe has put a ton of weight onto his frame that looks like it could actually hold a bit more and that’s played a big part in his progression as a lineman. Simply put, he’s more powerful and controlled with the extra mass and had a great season for JM Robinson. He’s not a traditional left tackle in that he’s a great puller and better run-blocker than pass-blocker but he has time to develop and we’re excited to see what he can do.

The biggest thing that makes no sense to me is how Elijah doesn’t have any more recruiting attention. At 6’5 and 280 pounds, Elijah is simply one of the best tackles in the Charlotte Metro Area. His highlights show excellent blocking techniques on fold blocks, down blocks, climbing next level, and long pull fit & drives. Elijah is patient in pass protection and shows enough athleticism to run speed rushers past the pocket, and bury power rushers in the running game. Full package player, Junior Bowl roster selection.

The big Class of 2027 prospect was strong and aggressive coming off of the football, setting a physical tone up front for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs controlled the line of scrimmage for the vast majority of the game, allowing the offense to put up over 500 total yards in the victory. 355 of those total yards came on the ground, reflective of the strength of Elijah and the Bulldogs offensive line overall.
