About Elijah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as instinctive, downhill, and high-effort. I play best when I can read the play, trigger fast, and attack the ball carrier. I take pride in being around the football, making tackles, and creating negative yardage plays against the offense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a quiet, coachable player who tries to lead by how I work and how I play. I'm competitive, disciplined, and always looking for ways to improve. I know I still have work to do, and I'm focused on getting stronger, becoming more physical, and earning every opportunity I get.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been recognized as GAC South All-Academic. I take academics seriously and understand that being a student-athlete means handling business in the classroom as well as on the field.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Football has helped me develop discipline, toughness, teamwork, and accountability. I've learned how to take coaching, do my job within the defense, and put the team before myself. I'm not the loudest player, but I try to lead through effort, preparation, and consistency.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Last season I had to deal with an injury that limited me to 7 games. It was frustrating, but it taught me to stay focused, keep working, and not take the game for granted. Even with the injury, I finished with 63 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, and 1 forced fumble. I'm using that experience as motivation going into my senior season.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that fits me academically and athletically. I want a program that will coach me hard, help me develop, and give me a chance to compete. I'm looking for a place with strong academics, a good team culture, and coaches who believe in developing players.
