Expert Analysis
Sam Erman | Prep Redzone Scout
Barney is a talented young receiver with a good, thick frame and good athleticism. He’s got good vertical ability, can highpoint the ball, and isn’t afraid to embrace contact. He’s a good route runner who knows how to get DBs to turn sideways and does a good job creating separation. He’ll lay out for the ball and gives good effort on every route, while also being a good blocker on the outside. I like the combination of traits and effort he brings, and he’s showing early production to go with the talent. He’s a complete receiver with a lot to build on moving forward.
