Griffin has been playing at a high level this season. He is a smooth operator who moves well in the pocket and he has the athleticism to evade pressure, allowing him to make the big plays in the passing game. He has helped lead the Coppell Cowboys to an 7-0 record overall and 4-0 in District 5-6A. This past weekend against Lewisville, Griffin erupted for 460 yards and 6 touchdowns in 55-28 win. On the season Griffin has passed for 1,779 yards. The Baylor commit has been one of the hottest players in the state this season.

Griffin has excellent field vision, which enables him to see the field to make pinpoint throws in rhythm, he has a quick release, he navigates the pocket with clean footwork and Edward has the skill set to throw lasers on the run. The 6’2 195 junior, has the athleticism to uses his legs to be an asset in the running game and he has the speed to escape pocket pressure to extend drives. Griffin has the arm talent to make every throw on the route tree and his ability to be surgically accurate are traits in his game that lead to Coppell putting up 49 points in a key district win versus Lewisville. Edward had a phenomenal game, passing for 313 yards and 3 touchdowns. Griffin is building a resume this season that will get college programs attention and look for the Coppell gunslinger to continue carve up defenses as the Cowboys get deep into district play.
