Mika is quickly emerging as one of the more reliable workhorse running backs in 2A. With 92 carries for 646 yards and three touchdowns, Mika has demonstrated durability and efficiency as his team’s primary option on the ground. His ability doesn’t stop there, as he has proven to be a dangerous receiving threat, averaging 10 yards per reception with a touchdown through the air. That versatility makes him a player capable of impacting games in multiple ways, especially when he gets the ball in space. While ball security will be key moving forward, Mika’s skill set as both a runner and pass catcher gives him the potential to elevate his game even further. He’s a player on the rise that opposing defenses must account for.
Mika is an elusive back that can make the first defender miss and has the speed to take it to the house when he makes it into open field. He was able to rush for over 1,000 yards this season and can be a game changer when he has the ball, using his vision to find a hole and bouncing it once he gets to the second level. Mika is also a threat out of the backfield and is dangerous when he gets blockers in front of him, setting up his blocks and turning on the jets to find the end zone.
Mika is a back that knows how to use his vision to set up blocks and create running lanes for himself. When he gets on the perimeter he is able to let his blocks develop and pick up chunk yardage. He is not easy to bring down as he is constantly running through arm tackles. He rushed for over a 1,000 yards this season and was able to be a threat to score when his team was in the redzone. Look for him to be an impact player in 2A this season.
Mika made a strong statement in Week 0, putting up impressive numbers for his team. He carried the ball 17 times, racking up 160 yards rushing and punching it in 2 times. Mika’s ability to consistently produce big plays on the ground makes him a player to watch as the season unfolds. His Week 0 performance is just the beginning of what could be a breakout season for this talented back.
