A two-way player, we like Lineberger best as a corner. On the offensive side of the ball, he can win with quickness, but also flashes high-level jump ball skills. Those same traits play themselves out on defense. Despite a brutal schedule, Lineberger was often left on an island against talented receivers. He plays far bigger than his frame suggests, and he’s one of the top freshmen in the state.

There aren’t many freshmen playing extensively on both sides of the ball, especially at the 7A level, but Lineberger is doing just that. The freshman is excelling as a receiver (over 100 yards and a touchdown) and a corner (two pass breakups and two interceptions). He’s gone through a recent growth spurt and looks like he’ll end up with great size for either position.
