Tupou has had back to back impressive seasons to start his high school career. As a sophomore, he totaled 145 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, and 6 sacks. 5’11” 180 lbs. he’s an active defender as a run stopper and dropping into coverage. Great nose for the football, he demonstrates good awareness and instincts to diagnose the play and locate the ball. He’s quick to read and react with good burst to close in pursuit. Strong at the POA, he takes on blockers with good leverage and power to hold ground and delivers heavy contact as a tackler in both tight spaces and the open field. Good all-around skillset and upside as he progresses.
