Dru has been excellent this season for Murray. He’s a gunslinger with good processing rate and does a good job of getting to his second reads on a consistent basis. He gets the ball out in a timely manner and does well throwing his receivers open. He’s kept the ball out of danger and the game has slowed down for him tremendously. When the play breaks down, he does a good job of using his legs. It’s been a good start to the season for him.

Dru is a player I’ve seen for a couple of years now and he continues to get better with each time I see him. He has a good football IQ and makes tweaks on the fly. He throws well on the run and puts good air on the ball. He’s a signal caller who will move around the pocket, and he is a player who has all the experience and tools at his disposal.

From last winter, through the spring and into the season, I’ve watched Dru continue to progress and improve his game. He gets to his second reads, does well extending plays and does a good job of keeping his head up while scrambling to find a jailbreak receiver. He throws a good intermediate ball and is someone who will continue to develop and make progress.
