Earning top honors as the O-line MVP, Clifford had one of his best showings yet this offseason by displaying excellent versatility and the ability to pass block at multiple O-line positions. The Red Raiders senior O-lineman did very well during testing then proceeded to become one of the best during 1 on 1 competitions. Clifford showed off good lower base explosion and mobility during both portions of the camp while also displaying a nice body where you can tell this East Tennessee product has done a nice job of adding more weight to take on football physicality. What I like the most about Clifford is his O-line versatility. He fits best inside at guard or center but he did well working at tackle on Sunday, proving his athletic abilities. Look for more coaches to look deeper into Clifford as the next few weeks go by as he brings tons of value to not just the O-line but the football team and locker room as well.

Making the move from Knox. Catholic to Baylor for his senior season, Clifford is another interior versatile O-lineman that has the “underrated” status attached to him at the moment but hopefully after a strong summer camp season, his stock may finally rise. Well balanced with good lower base mobility, Clifford has the look and feel of a college center but sports the versatility to handle all three interior O-line positions if needed. He does need to continue adding more girth and size to withstand the physicality on the next level but I think that will happen. Playing on the Red Raiders O-line this Fall will help Clifford too as he will be coached up by a great staff as well as have other talented guys around him in the trenches that should enhance his game.
