An impressive junior linebacker flying under the radar, Hughes is a playmaker who can make a big impact defensively and on special teams. He plays hard, tackles properly, and was one of the more productive defenders in the area this fall. Playing for an outstanding Swainsboro program, Hughes made his small town proud with his 94 total tackles and five TFLs. He made 10+ tackles in four games while also making an impact against the pass. He’ll be one of the top returning defenders in the region next fall as a senior. He was an easy addition to the latest update and is now ranked as the No. 59 linebacker prospect in the state.

An active middle linebacker with strong instincts and the ability to take on blocks in the trenches. He plays fast, he’s a strong tackler, and brings an intimidating presence to the Swainsboro defense. He’s tackled everything in sight this season as a junior and is one of the top 2027 linebackers in the area. The small-town defender made 86 tackles and four TFLs during the regular season for an average of 9.6 tackles per game. He’s disruptive, consistent, and flashed D1-talent and potential throughout the season. He’s a defender on the rise in the 2027 class who could see some strong college interest and possible offers come his way this off-season.
