Expert Analysis
Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Christopher measures in at 5’10 165-pounds playing RB/LB for Loveland. This past season, he had 105 carries for 517 yards with 4 touchdowns, 8 receptions for 22 yards with 1 touchdown, 32 total tackles (23 solo, 9 assisted), 4 TFL, 1 sack, 1 INT (returned for a TD), with 2 pass deflections. He has very good athletic ability due to elite balance, very good change of direction, speed, and good acceleration. Christopher has very good vision paired with very good inside running. Pivots into the open gap to gash the defense for a big gain. Smooth jump cuts to glide through the defense. Christopher consistently gains yards after contact, due to his balance and strength. Breaks tackles with ease and churns forward with his strength. He also has demonstrated his good receiving ability out of the backfield. I’m excited to see Christopher continue to grow as a RB.

In a defensive slugfest, Christopher stood tall as the workhorse for his team, finishing with 95 yards and a touchdown. Averaging 4.5 yards per carry, Christopher showed his ability to push the pile and consistently move the chains even against a stingy defense. His physical running style was on display as he hit the hole with authority and fought for every yard. While he didn’t have many breakaway runs in this contest, his toughness and ability to wear down the defense are undeniable. Look for Christopher to make more splash plays in Week 2 and climb as a stock riser.

Christopher pounded the rock for Loveland this past season. Measuring in at 5’10 165-pounds, he accounted for 480 yards, and 6 touchdowns on 7 carries. Very good speed, change of direction, and good acceleration. One thing to note about Christopher’s game is his elite balance. Defenders go after his legs, but he maintains his balance and crushes them for a big gain. He continues to get yards after contact. He has good trucking paired with a powerful stiff arm. Very good vision and is a mixture of a weave and power back. He’ll beat you with his power or speed. I’m very excited to see how he continues his development into next season.

Measuring in at 5’10 165-pounds, Christopher carried the ball 70 times for 480 yards and 6 touchdowns. Christopher has very good athletic ability due to elite balance, very good speed, change of direction, and good acceleration. Deon can not be taken down by defenders. If he starts to fall, he regains composure and attacks. Very good vision to find the path at the line of scrimmage and out in open space. Christopher has good trucking, and runs through the defense with ease. He uses his powerful stiff arm to push defenders away. I’m very impressed with what I’ve seen so far, and with more playing time, college scouts will too.

Christopher shined as a young back in Loveland’s first-round playoff game, carrying the ball 18 times for 153 yards and two touchdowns while adding two receptions for 43 yards. Christopher’s versatility as a runner and receiver makes him a dynamic offensive weapon. He’s a shifty back who can make defenders miss in tight spaces while maintaining the ability to explode for big plays. Christopher’s breakout performance put him firmly in the spotlight, and his potential as an all-purpose back makes him a player to watch closely as his career progresses.
