Deangelo has been a playmaker for the last couple of years at Metrolina. With offers from Roanoke, Hampden-Sydney, McPherson, and Lawrence University, DeAngelo has college level talent. He has good speed in the open field and has shown on film some playmaking skills making interceptions and also being a return threat on special teams with touchdown runs and big game-changing plays.

Recently picking up offers from both Roanoke College and Hampden-Sydney College, DeAngelo is starting to see recruiting interest rise. First off, his 4.1 GPA allows all types of schools to recruit him. I like Deangelo’s ability to tackle in the open field first and foremost. You don’t see that in a lot of high school corners. DeAngelo also shows some good change of direction skills – I saw that in person at a showcase back in the winter. Finally, DeAngelo is a strong overall athlete who shows the ability to run with receivers all over the field.
