Dawsen has been one that keeps climbing up my radar out of Lyman as one of a couple pass-catchers I like for the Raiders offense. Dawsen enlightens me from the jump with his athleticism from the top of his route, as one that college coaches should like how he finish his routes. He shows off as a common deep threat at the wide receiver position but man, do I like how proficent he is on all three levels of the field. He also led the Raiders in tackles for a loss as a junior. He reports a 6’5 wingspan, which when I roll into his defensive film, it’s evident that Dawsen knows how to use his length as a linebacker. I surely could see Dawsen on either side of the ball at the next-level as an athlete that I feel plays with a good amount of “grit” on tape.
I had Dawsen graded in the receiving core out of Lyman, however his skillsets he has offered at linebacker add for some position flexibility as another prospect on our radar out of Lyman. He’s grown out a ton in frame now playing at 6’2180 pounds and you can see the length in stride to the ball. In the backfield also makes Dawsen a tough one to catch on the fly in the open field as he’s longer than a lot of his competition he goes up against. Surely an 2027 athlete that’s a stock mover as Lyman seems to keep producing athletes.
