DJ Boone is a three sport athlete with a hoops and track and field background. A little bit of a tweener in body type, Boone rushes off the edge with quite an aggressive demeanor. He plays both out of a two point stance and with his hand in the dirt. He shows short area quickness and explosiveness in space, and strain and closing speed chase after the after the ball. On contact, Boone will deliver a shot and try to knock a guy off his feet with any given opportunity. Simply put, he plays with a proper level of violence. He displays versatility in his ability to line up in the box and make plays. His effort is relentless and has earned him a few early Division I offers. Additionally, he holds a 3.6 GPA.

Boone was very impressive as a super twitchy edge rusher at 6’3” 215 pounds. He was stellar throughout the day with a variety of moves along with elite speed around the edge. Nice up and over move. Best move was a fake outside and then blow by inside past the tackle. Great speed and can really bend the edge. Definitely going to need to continue to add strength to max out ability.

Missouri – Officially measured in at 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds at a recent combine and was clocked at a legit 4.64 in the forty and a 4.82 in the pro-agility. Despite only being an eighth-grader, both times were in the top 10 out of nearly 250 athletes in the class of 2023-2027. Also a menace on the basketball court, helping his middle school win a championship. Dad was an All-State player in high school and All-Confernce player at Western Illinois. He’ll be at Luthern North High School.
