Smith transferred over to Madera from Central this off-season and has been a big time get for them. He is a well balanced runner that gets behind his pads, packs a punch at the point of attack and does a nice job staying patient behind his blocks, making tacklers miss in tight spaces and has a strong initial burst through the line with some third level speed as well. Smith flashes start/stop abilities and is always falling forward to gain the tough yards inside while showing he can cut it outside the tackles and force poor angles in the open field when needed. He has had a breakout season so far and will be one of the top returning rushers next fall to the central valley.
