DeFilippo is a name that shows up over and over again as a true enforcer on the defensive side of the ball, and I am sure he is one that opposing offenses know as well. He finished week one with 13 tackles, with 8 solo tackles and five of them being assisted. He also recorded three tackles for loss in the game. In 2025, he had an eye-popping 163 tackles on the year, and he has started 2026 in the same fashion. Look for colleges to begin to take notice very soon.

Defilippo is quickly establishing himself as one of the leaders of the Camden County varsity defense. He is a tackling machine who plays with strength, physicality, and a nose for the football. Defilippo does a good job working through traffic and finishing plays once he gets his hands on the ball carrier. For a young linebacker, his leadership and presence on the varsity level stand out. He is a physical run defender with the toughness to play between the tackles and should continue to see his stock rise as his production grows.

DeFilippo had a monster year on the defensive side of the ball for the Bruins, logging 163 tackles on the year, with 13 tackles for loss, averaging 14.8 tackles per game. He also registered two sacks from his linebacker position, with a pass deflection, two forced fumbles, as well as two fumble recoveries. He also added 120 yards of offensive production in light duties on that side of the ball. Look for DeFilippo to haunt offenses for the next two seasons, as he is only a junior.
