About Damaso
Expert Analysis
Jonathan Davalos | Prep Redzone Scout
Damaso was another running back I had the pleasure of watching at the Next Combine this spring, where he earned 2nd Team All-Combine honors. His speed was obvious the moment he came out of his stance in the 40, and he nearly floated through the air during his 9’4″ broad jump, both the best marks among all running backs, including a hand-timed 4.53s in the 40.
A versatile athlete with playmaking ability on both sides of the ball, Damaso’s explosive athleticism and smooth movement make him a threat in any role. With his blend of speed, power, and instincts, he’s poised to make an early impact lining up in Immaculata’s backfield over the next four years.

- Central Jersey will be represented by the Somerset County native at the combine. He’s a really good looking prospect that can obviously play Running Back, but also has the frame to line it up at Wide Receiver and Defensive Back. His father is a Rutgers Special Teams coach.

First up, let’s look at DB/WR/RB Damaso Munoz. Munoz plays both sides of the ball, showcasing great skill at both. As a corner Munoz is great at tracking the ball in the air on the run, which leads him to be able to knock it out of the sky before a receiver can catch it. As a wide out Munoz has elite route running ability, able to cut and stop on a dime, a skill he likely picked up when training as a corner, and this perfectly complements his blazing speed. While Munoz could play either, I like his projection as a corner the best, but he is certainly no slouch at receiver.
