Marcus Benjamin | Prep Redzone Scout
The South Florida talent is a smart, savvy football player who is a student of the game. He often can predict where the football will go on plays and is a constant disruptor.
Jerry can be effective in the box as a strong safety, linebacker, or nickel, and be a dangerous blitzer. He has tremendous closing speed and has above-average technique when tackling in space.

The way Jerry got down hill and attacked from the third level was nothing short of phenomenal to watch. In practice, whether he was playing safety or on the corner, he had very disciplined eyes and got downhill exceptionally fast. Looking at his social media after the Future Stars Game week, he was clocked at running 20.5 mph by his high school during a recent practice. At 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds, he’s almost like an extra linebacker on the field with the way he tracks and attacks–just with excellent speed. Coaches told me he can also play wide receiver at a high level, but I’m sold on him being a super aggressive FBS safety in four short years.
